Free Range Pork. It is a fact that happy pigs make good pork. All our pigs are fed on a free range basis. We let them forage to their hearts content for natural food on the farm and, to make sure they get their ‘5 a day’, we supplement their food with vegetables and non GM pellets. We have been recommended by our Abattoir who said it was rare these days for pork to be bred to such a high standard. Something we are very proud of.
As for our bacon, the usual comment we get from customers is ‘Wow!’ We supply both unsmoked (green back) and smoked bacon. The curing and smoking is to a traditional recipe and this results in bacon that is melt in the mouth tender and full of flavour - and with none of that yucky watery fat that you often get with the supermarket stuff.
